The Hawthorns

The Hawthorns is a romantic and modern wedding venue which is the perfect place to experience the most magical day. The Hawthorns is situated on the beautiful Douglas Valley Golf course located in the quiet village of Blackrod, west of the West Pennine Moors. From our stunning garden and terraces, we are very lucky to have some of the best views overlooking Winter Hill, boasting the most amazing photo opportunities.

Walk into the enchanting blossom suite where you will find foliage, drapes and twinkling lights hanging from the ceiling of this light and airy space. Seating up to 120-day guests and holding 180 evening guests, you can be sure that all of your nearest and dearest will be able to attend.

We offer bespoke packages to our couples, with some incredible chefs cooking up a three-course wedding breakfast as well as canapes and desserts to keep all your guests happy!
