EventfulDay website terms of use
Please read these terms carefully before using the Website. By accessing, browsing, registering for, or using the Website, you agree to these terms of use. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Website.
Your attention is particularly drawn to clause 14, which explains the limits of our responsibility and liability.
1. Who we are and how to contact us
The Website is operated by EventfulDay Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 14688368. Our registered office is at 41 St. Thomas’s Road, Chorley, England, PR7 1JE. Our VAT number is 437 2793 70.

2. What these terms cover
These terms govern your access to and use of the Website. They apply to all Website users, including visitors, Planners and account holders.
These terms do not govern the paid membership relationship between EventfulDay and venues, suppliers or other listed businesses. That relationship is governed by our separate supplier membership terms, which are made available during the supplier application and contracting process.
These terms do not create a contract between you and any Listed Business. Any contract for goods, services, venue hire, event support or related arrangements is made directly between you and the relevant Listed Business.
3. Definitions and interpretation
In these terms, the following words and expressions have the meanings set out below.

| User Content | any content, information, message, note, review, rating, comment, file, image or other material that you submit, upload, post, send or otherwise make available through the Website. |

References to including, include, in particular or similar expressions are illustrative and do not limit the words that come before them. References to writing include email unless these terms say otherwise.
4. Our role
EventfulDay is an online directory, discovery and planning platform for corporate event venues and suppliers. The Website is designed to help Planners identify, compare, shortlist and contact Listed Businesses that may be relevant to corporate events.
We are not a venue, event organiser, event manager, travel agent, broker, agent, reseller or representative of any Listed Business. We do not sell, supply, supervise, manage or guarantee the goods or services provided by any Listed Business.
Unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing, we are not a party to any contract, booking, enquiry, negotiation, quotation, proposal, order or other arrangement between you and a Listed Business. Any such arrangement is made directly between you and the relevant Listed Business.
5. Use of the Website
You may use the Website for lawful business purposes connected with researching, planning, arranging or supporting corporate events.
You must not use the Website:
- in any way that breaches any applicable law or regulation;
- for any fraudulent, misleading, harmful or unlawful purpose;
- to transmit spam, unsolicited marketing, malicious code, viruses or harmful technology;
- to scrape, harvest, copy or extract data from the Website except as reasonably necessary for your own legitimate event planning use;
- to interfere with, damage, overload or impair the Website or any connected systems;
- to impersonate any person or organisation;
- to upload, post or send anything that is defamatory, offensive, discriminatory, obscene, threatening, abusive or otherwise objectionable; or
- to infringe our rights, the rights of any Listed Business or the rights of any third party.
We may suspend, restrict or terminate your access to the Website if we reasonably believe that you have breached these terms or used the Website inappropriately.
6. Accounts and registration
Some areas of the Website may require you to create an Account. You must provide accurate, complete and up to date information when creating or using an Account. When creating an Account, you must actively accept these terms during registration. If you do not accept these terms, you must not create an Account or use the account-based features of the Website.
You are responsible for keeping your Account login details secure and confidential. You must not allow anyone else to use your Account unless they are authorised to act on behalf of your organisation.
You must tell us promptly if you believe your Account has been accessed without authority or if your login details have been compromised.
We may refuse, suspend or close an Account where we reasonably consider it necessary to protect the Website, other users, Listed Businesses, EventfulDay or the integrity of the platform.
7. Planner tools, shortlists and notes
The Website may allow you to save shortlists, create event notes, compare Listed Businesses, send enquiries or use other planning tools. These tools are provided to support your own internal planning process.
You are responsible for checking that any information you save, use or rely on is accurate, current and suitable for your event. You should not treat Website tools as a substitute for your own due diligence, event planning judgement or direct discussions with the relevant Listed Business.
We may change, remove, suspend or discontinue any Website tool or feature from time to time. Where possible, we will try to avoid disrupting your use of the Website, but we cannot guarantee that any particular feature will remain available indefinitely.
8. Listings and information about Listed Businesses
Listings are intended to provide helpful information about venues, suppliers and other businesses that may support corporate events. Listing information may be provided by the Listed Business, collected from public sources, created by us, or produced using information supplied to us by the Listed Business.
We may carry out a review before publishing a listing, but we do not guarantee that any listing is complete, accurate, up to date or suitable for your particular event. You must verify important information directly with the Listed Business before making any decision, booking, payment or commitment.
Examples of information you should verify directly include availability, capacity, accessibility, facilities, pricing, insurance, accreditations, food safety, licences, cancellation terms, health and safety arrangements, venue restrictions, service scope, delivery capability and any other requirement that matters to your event.
We may amend, remove, suspend or refuse to publish listings at our discretion, including where we believe a listing is inaccurate, outdated, inappropriate, misleading, unlawful, inconsistent with our standards or otherwise unsuitable for the Website.
9. No endorsement or guarantee
The inclusion of a Listed Business on the Website does not mean that we guarantee, endorse, warrant or accept responsibility for that Listed Business, its staff, its services, its venue, its availability, its prices, its performance or its suitability for your event.
We may carry out internal checks, moderation or listing review processes to support the quality and usefulness of the Website. These processes are for our internal platform management purposes only and do not amount to a public guarantee, endorsement, accreditation or assurance of any Listed Business. They do not remove your responsibility to carry out your own checks before engaging a Listed Business.
10. Enquiries and communication with Listed Businesses
The Website may allow you to contact a Listed Business, send a message or follow links to the Listed Business’s own website, contact form, booking page or external communication channel.
When you communicate with a Listed Business, you are responsible for the content of your message and for any information you choose to provide. At launch, the Website’s direct messaging feature is intended to share your first name and message content with the relevant Listed Business. It will not share your full planner account details unless you choose to include further information in the message or another feature clearly states otherwise. You should only share information that is accurate, lawful and appropriate for the enquiry.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, EventfulDay is not responsible for the response time, accuracy, quality, pricing, availability or conduct of any Listed Business following an enquiry.
You acknowledge that some communications may take place outside the Website, including by email, telephone, direct website enquiry forms or third-party booking tools. Those communications and any resulting arrangements are between you and the relevant Listed Business.
11. Reviews, ratings and user-generated content
If the Website allows you to submit reviews, ratings or other User Content, including at launch or in the future, you must ensure that your User Content is truthful, fair, accurate, based on your genuine experience and not misleading. Reviews may be available even if no reviews have yet been published on a particular listing.
You must not submit User Content that:
- is defamatory, malicious, discriminatory, offensive, abusive or unlawful;
- contains confidential information or personal data that you do not have the right to share;
- infringes intellectual property rights or any other rights of another person;
- contains advertising, promotional content or spam;
- is fake, manipulated, incentivised without disclosure, or submitted on behalf of someone else without authority; or
- could reasonably damage the integrity, trust or reputation of the Website.
We may moderate, edit, refuse, hide or remove User Content where we reasonably consider it necessary or appropriate. We are not required to publish any User Content and publication of User Content does not mean that we endorse it.
By submitting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, copy, display, publish, adapt and make available that User Content on the Website and in connection with the operation, promotion and improvement of EventfulDay.
12. Intellectual property
We are the owner or licensee of the Website, the EventfulDay name and brand, and the Content made available through the Website, except where Content belongs to Listed Businesses, users or third-party licensors.
You may view, download and print reasonable extracts from the Website for your own internal business event planning purposes. You must not otherwise copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, license, commercially exploit, modify, create derivative works from or use any part of the Website or Content without our prior written permission.
Nothing in these terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.
13. Third-party websites and services
The Website may contain links to third-party websites, booking tools, payment platforms, videos, virtual tours, maps, social media pages, documents and other external services. These links are provided for convenience only.
We do not control third-party websites or services and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, accuracy, privacy practices, terms or performance. You should read the terms and privacy information of any third-party website or service before using it.
14. Our responsibility and liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
The Website is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the Website will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, free from viruses or available at all times.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied conditions, warranties, representations and other terms that may apply to the Website or any Content on it.
We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from:
- your reliance on listing information or Content without carrying out your own checks;
- the acts, omissions, goods, services, pricing, availability, conduct or performance of any Listed Business;
- any contract, booking, negotiation, payment, dispute or arrangement between you and a Listed Business;
- the unavailability, interruption or failure of the Website;
- third-party websites, platforms, services or content linked from the Website;
- loss of profits, loss of business, loss of revenue, loss of anticipated savings, loss of goodwill, loss of data or indirect or consequential loss.
If we are found liable to you in connection with your use of the Website, our total aggregate liability shall be limited to £100, unless a higher limit is required by applicable law. This limit does not apply to the types of liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
15. Business use only
The Website is intended for business users and corporate event planning purposes. It is not intended for consumers arranging private events in a personal capacity.
By using the Website, you confirm that you are using it for business or professional purposes and not as a consumer. If you use the Website on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to do so.
16. Privacy and cookies
We process personal data in accordance with our privacy policy, which is available from the Website footer. The privacy policy also explains how we use cookies and similar technologies.
Where cookies or similar technologies require consent, you should be given the ability to manage your preferences through the Website cookie banner or cookie preference tool. The exact cookie information, cookie preference mechanism and use of analytics or advertising technologies should be confirmed before these terms and the privacy policy are published.
17. Changes to the Website
We may update, change, suspend, withdraw or restrict access to all or any part of the Website at any time. We may do this for operational, technical, security, commercial, legal or other reasons.
We will try to keep disruption to a reasonable minimum, but we do not guarantee that the Website or any Content will always be available or uninterrupted.
18. Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms from time to time. The updated version will be published on the Website and will apply from the date stated in the updated terms.
If you have an Account and we make a material change that affects your use of the Website, we may take reasonable steps to bring the change to your attention, for example by email, account notification or notice on the Website.
Your continued use of the Website after updated terms are published will be treated as acceptance of those updated terms.

We may give notices to you by email, through your Account, by notice on the Website, or by post to any address you have provided to us.
20. General
We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these terms without our prior written consent.
If any part of these terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue in full force and effect.
If we do not enforce any part of these terms immediately, this does not mean that we cannot enforce it later.
These terms do not give any person other than you and us any right to enforce them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
20. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, their subject matter or formation, are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these terms, their subject matter or formation.
